PHILOSOPHY :
The Nursing College faculty assumes responsibilities in providing nursing education to young girls who have come to ado[pt this profession which is based on theory and scientific principles. The faculty will strive to inculcate in the students not only knowledge but moral responsibilities, dedication and ethics required in nursing profession. The faculty is preapring nurses who can accept the new challenges in health care system, provide better care with feeling of kindness and respect to humankind who are sick and well.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION :
In the year 2006-07 1st Batch of 137 students were enrolled and that have completed their 1st year successfully. At present total 97 students are taking training (1st, 2nd & 3rd Yr.). This year the institute recognized by INC & MNC for ANM Training Programm. 25 Students for this programm is enrolled. The B.Sc. Nursing students appear for University examination. ANM Students will have Board Examination which is conducted by Mahakaushal Nurses Council, Bhopal.

ELGIBILITY :

1. Age of admission 17-25 years.
2. Candidates seeking admision for B.Sc Nursing course should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (12 years course) with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English obtaining not less than 50% marks in aggreegate of the above four subjects from the Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh or of any other Board recognized as equivalent by the Devi Ahilya VIshwa Vidyalaya, Indore.
3. Students who have pased the qualifying examination from other Than Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh/ CBSE, will have to produce elgibility certificate from Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Indore before admisstion to the course. The decision of Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya for elgibility and enrolment shall be final.
4. The Candidate should be immunized against Hepatitis B and Chicken pox.
5. ANM Student age 15-35 year with 10th pass minimum 45% marks.

After the completion of four year degree course, the nursing candidate may choose to work as staff nurse in the respective fields :

• Military Nursing Officer
• District Public Health Nursing
• Gazetted Nursing Officer.
• Industrial Nursing
• Occupational Health Nursing
• Collaborator in National Health Programs.
• Research undertakings in WHO, UNICEF projects.
• Railway nursing Officer

The nurse can upgrade her professional skills by : M.Sc. Nursing M.Phil. Ph.D. The following higher posts are available for postgraduates in Nursing :
