“Saksham” is a project taken up by the SDPS society for skill upgradation of hand embroidery  artisans from Madhya Pradesh. This project is been done under the Human Resource Development Scheme under the auspicies of Handicrafts Development Commissioners Office, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. Within this project clusters from Indore & Mhow skilled

in smocking, shadow embroidery , parsi karai work, zari, crochet have been trained from a cluster of 3000 ladies having been trained to manufacture apparel & garments commercially..

Post this training the artisans women are also helped to get placements in commercial manufacturing units. Thus, helping them to raise their economic standards.
